Assyrian's economy

At the beginning of the seventh millennium Assyrian farmers harvested barley and wheat, owned sheep and goats, woven garments and made knives. The Assyrians had no metals and great resources. They demanded tribute from all provinces and towns. The most important economic activity is agriculture irrigation (for the good land and rivers) there are 2 In Mesopotamia anuales.Todo crops which participated in the construction of the canals have the right to water. Crops are usually cereals, there are tropical crops (dates) and oilseeds (sesame).

Assur :

He is the most importnt God for assyrians, he hasen't got any special power because he was a King an his name was Spelt in the first millenium with the symbol: AS.The meaning of this was GOD. in the 3rd millenium the assyrians were situated in North of the Mesopotamia.

With this " symbol " the people of Assyria  represented Assur ,  the most important God for The People of Assyria.

The Geography of Assyria :


 Assyrian civilization is very old .In the bottom of this region was dry and overwhelming. The region is produced cereals. In the mountains of northeast were iron mines, copper, lead and silver. The region of Asia Minor was under the influence of the Sumerian civilization established in the southern plain of Mesopotamia

Where is located Assyria?


Assyria was an ancient country located in Southeast Asia in ancient Mesopotamia, the Tigris river valley whose boundaries were north of the mountains of Armenia, south Chaldea (Babylon), the Middle East and west Mesopotamia .The most important city was on the banks of the Tigris, the country took the same name with Assyria.
